2 years clean/sober today

Hi forum people. I used to be on here a lot but not so much lately. I see there are some people still here I recognize from a couple years ago when I got clean. I was taking 60-80 mgs or oxy/norco per day plus booze plus valium, I was a total wreck. My life was a total wreck. I managed to stay clean through all the sickness and insomnia by posting and reading here and going to AA/NA meetings (which I still do, but not as much) and today my life is a million times better. I can sleep, eat, socialize, work, take care of my kids, pay my bills, and do fun things I forgot I liked. ALL of that I do clean and sober and wow, what a difference. To those of you just starting on your journey, hang in there..it gets better and better every day. I can't even express the gratitude and happiness I have today for my sobriety. My life is NOT perfect but nobody's is, right? I LOVE being clean. If you're thinking about getting clean, or you're struggling right now with staying clean,  don't try it alone. I had to have help. Thank you to those of you who were around when I needed you. I am forever grateful to the people here. Take care and God bless all of you
:)

Thanks  Ricart, Gnarly, Sarah, Pat and Clean. Yes it is SO good to be among the living again.  I think it's really cool that you guys are all still here and helping people like me (and you) stay clean. We are so much stronger together...as someone once said (I don't know who) "Life is a team sport".

Wahoo YOU!!!  2 YEARS!!!!

Though I am 5 months behind you....I remember one thing about you.....you said "ASK FOR HELP".....and you did!!!

Convincing ourselves we can do recovery "on our own" and not get involved with other recovering addicts is one of the biggest lies we can tell ourselves.  Thanks for coming back and sharing your joy with us~
