28 hours into c/t norco

I began taking 10/325 about 2 years ago. At first I took 1 maybe 2. As time went on I took more and more. Last week I was taking 10 a day (which for me is alot) I am 28 hours into c/t detox and I feel like my brain is on fire. I am sweating so bad but my feet and hands are freezing. Luckily my husband is taking care of me and I am able to take it easy. I get winded just getting out of bed. I have been trying to read up as much as I could but I just want to know, is it going to be worse tomorrow? I am ready for this to be over.

Imodium will quickly become your best friend.  Go and buy 5 or 6 bottles.  I echo what everyone said about how important hydration is.  I lived Gatorade personally, and ice water for my parched mouth.  Epsom salt is also tremendous.  I used it for years for my back.  Now I put it in my hot tub.  These small things can make you a lot more comfortable.  I also kept fresh clothes near the bed as the night sweats can be miserable.  How can one freeze and sweat at the same time?  I threw on a fresh t shirt and sweatpants every hour or so.  Have lots if pillows and blankets so you can rotate them.

supposedly you count from your last one taken....i would suggest you get rid of all pills and sources if you are going CT....if you plan to taper then you need to maybe let your husband give them to you....either way i wish you luck and like Pat said above....stay hydrated and eat when you can...hot baths with epsom salt is awesome.  Good luck and keep posting for support!

41 hours. I feel okay today (so far)
I had actually tried to start this on Saturday but caved around noon and had 1 norco. Then on Sunday I caved again and had 2 vicodin. I was withdrawing on the weekend and now it doesn't seem as bad.. so I am kind of confused as to which day I am on. Do I count from the last time I had one? Or do I count from Saturday?

When I was detoxing from Vicodin, days 3 & 4 were the worst. The back pain lingered for a week after all other symptoms dissipated.
From everything I read at the time and other people's stories, days 4 or 5 were commonly the worst.

Good luck to you! Stay strong, I know it's no fun at all.

Hi January
Welcome to the Forum but sorry for the reason you are here.
I always planned on my detoxes lasting 72 hours but that was just me.  Everyone is different, some are longer and some are shorter.
So if you go with 72 you only have 44 hours left.  Before you know it you will be in the 30's and then the 20's.  Withdrawals always peaked for me on day 3, so just when it seems to get bad, it's almost over.  It will come in waves after that but nothing you can't handle.

Make sure you are drinking lots of fluids (I loved gatorade), taking imodium when necessary and eating light foods.  Take hot baths as they will help and if you have epsom salts, that's a bonus.

You are going to feel really tired after it's all over.  Prepare yourself.  It will be like walking thru mud for awhile but it will get better.  You also will probably suffer from lack of sleep and some anxiety.

We have all been there and done it so hang in there.  If you have any other questions, don't hesistate to ask.
