Congrats cathy...sorry i missed the post yesterday but it has been a wild and wooly weekend  LOL...my quit day was on febrary 6th but didnt even think about it til today...so glad u r still on the forum...ur presence means alot to me (:

Congratulations.....it's wonderful that you've got 7 months and we're all so proud of you. I've got almost 4 years but the other day, when my "boyfriend" of 9 years (we are not at all young, hence the quotes) asked me, while we were having dinner in a restaurant, out of the blue "do you think you'll ever drink again?" my immediate response was "I have no idea, but it's looking really good for the rest of today."  I shared that with my AA friends and they all laughed, but knew what I meant.  I know I can never drink again, but I have to never drink again one day at a time.  In the beginning it was one hour at a time, so I know exactly where you are in your recovery.  I now have beer in my refrigerator (for him), and can be around alcohol without any temptation whatsoever.  But it's a process....that does not happen overnight.  Hang in there and know we are with you in spirit, cheering you on and praying for you (at least I am  :>)  )

thanks for all your kind words.  i appreciate each of you being there for me as well.  i know the value of support from being here on medhelp.  there have been many times i would have caved to the pressure, but at the right moment someone encouraged me to go one more hour or minute.....you are all the best.   i have made many fantastic friends for life here.   THANK YOU
