3 weeks clean!!!

Wow NEVER in a million years would I have thought I would say that! I'm feeling a little better now but, even tho to us it seems like forever, its still the beggining. There's a long road ahead of us but there's no turning back now! Still not sleeping well and can't keep food down long but I keep telling myself it can only get better from here! Goodluck to everyone and I hope this post helps some realize they just have to keep strong! Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Congrats, justme!   Thank you for posting about your success.   People starting out need the encouragement that those who have made it can give.   There is nothing like having someone who has been there, to be able to give some positive reinforcement to someone who wants to get clean.

Congrats!  I just wanted to suggest you try Melatonin to help you sleep.  It does wonders and its not habit forming.  I would recommend taking 20mg 30 minutes before you want to go to sleep. Melatonin regulates the sleep-wake cycle by chemically causing drowsiness and lowering the body temperature.

Good job,,,,,,,,,all that stuff will/should return to normal.

I am still amazed I'm not on that crap anymore. It felt like I was living under a rock with all the creepy stuff thats usually under rocks. But when the rock was lifted and sun exposed everything the  scarry stuff went away and I began  grow again.

not too early to think about some sort of aftercare (if not already)  hint..hint,,,

rooting for ya

I know that feeling of never thinking you'd get there so well! I am only about ten days farther along than you, and I can vouch that there's a definite improvement over those ten days. You will be loving how your energy has come mostly back at one month, along with an abatement of any remaining WD symptoms. Congratulations on three weeks, and I look forward to seeing your one month post!

Congratulations!!!!  I am very proud of you!  Liek selfinduced said- It will continue to get better, and when that first day comes where you realize that using is no longer gnawing at your mind 24 hours a day& you are back to sleeping and feeling 100%,  you will realize that sobriety is the BEST gift you could have ever given yourself! Guard this quit with everything you got because nothing is worth losing it over.

Pain is weakness leaving the body....LOVE IT! Congrats on your clean time. Just wait until your at day 30! The small things we used to take for granted return in trickles, then one day it's like OMG, I'm back to 100%. Enjoy your sobriety and watch the mental. WD is still fresh for you, but soon you'll forget the sick you went thru and your mind starts jabbering away to get you to use. DON'T! You are well on your way....Very cool!
