HI I agree with Sara it is going to get better try not to compare your self to others everybody detoxes at there own rate and recovers at there own rate age plays a factor the 20somethings bounce back quick people like you and I take a bit longer because of our age
it has a lot to do with the length of you habit also there are a lot of verables
im a firm believer  in good nutrician and for most of us we dont eat right so to all that detox I recamend whey protein shakes you can pick up a 2 lb can at wall mart for 15 bucks
the chocolate flavor is good it is loaded with ecential anmino acids as well as vitamins
and the protein all of witch the brain needs to heal it no quick fix but with time will speed up your recovery hang in there keep posting we all want to see you succeed good luck and God bless.....Gnarly

If you're at 22+ days you've made it through the acute withdrawal.  i always caved during the post-acute withdrawal . . . until i learned what it was a was ready for it.

don't change your clean date, no matter what.

Hey, it's pretty normal but still frustrating!  You gotta hang in there past this part, and just know that you are going to feel like crap for a while.  Try exercising too.  You're doing the right things.  Don't give up!!!

Your last post puts you at 20 or 21 days now.

You have just started the recovery process and I urge you to give it more time.  I can suggest things you can do to fight depression but these are just suggestions.  You have to weather the storm.

Go to a quiet place
lay on your bed and take deep breaths
Go over in your head what is bothering you right now
Do not brood over it, instead think of the last thing you were happy about
Think about your favorite place you lived
Try to remember without opening your eyes how many windows are in the room
Again with the doors
Then the pictures
Then cds or something you have a lot of
If you try to feel better it will not happen
You have to believe you will feel better
Don't think but do
Good Luck
