60 DAYS!!!

I'm not sure how it's possible, but today I have 60 days free from those stupid little yellow pills!
Without you all, I would never have accomplished this....so THANK YOU!
I have kept busy and dove right into focusing on being the best mother and wife I can be.
I am finding joy in being the best I can be each and every day.

There are still times I feel like I'm not quite normal, but it passes.
I don't crave the pills... I don't miss it really at all.
I'm staying aware of things though.
My husband is still angry and working on his own vices, but I can see our relationship mending ever so slowly.
I wish it were immediate, but I know it's just going to take time.
Ah...that word!
But I have faith that with time, this can all be ok.
I'm not on the forum much, but try to pop in every now and then.
To all you just starting out... It's possible!
Seriously it is!
Stay strong and stay close to good people here.
Thanks again!
Still can't believe it's 60!! Woohoo!

Thanks everyone !
It was wonderful to read all of your messages!
It has been a journey, but one that is so so worth it!

I had thyroid cancer 10 years ago. Had my thyroid removed and take a hormone replacement forever now.
Well...
I have been struggling a tad with some random symptoms that I couldn't really pinpoint for a while now.
I found out just this week that it's my thyroid levels, not lingering withdrawal or mental from withdrawal or anything like I was thinking! And that...is SO relieving!!
I guess when I quit the pills, it whacked my system a little and my levels went crazy.
So it's an easy fix with a hormone dose adjustment! Thank goodness!
But this made me realize just how much bad those little pills can do to our bodies without us even realizing it!
Yet another reason to keep moving forward!
I'm starting to mend physically and mentally and it just feels wonderful!

Congratulations on 2 whole Months! You Did It!!. Glad you came back & posted. It's always good to hear that someone is enjoying & making the best of their sobriety & I truly hope that things are on the 'mend' as you say.

I really liked this & believe it's one of the keys (our drive for instant gratification/an immediate 'fix' for things) to truly understanding addiction & to staying vigilant:

"I wish it were immediate, but I know it's just going to take time.
Ah...that word! "

Hope to see you back for further celebrations down the line. Great work!
