60 days

Hurray for me!  I made it to 60 days!!!!   I am feeling good and know that if I keep on doing the right thing it will just get better!!!  I just want to thank all of you for all the advice and encouragement you have given me!  The first few weeks were rough but I made it through!  For everyone that is still struggling through their first days or even thinking about quitting you CAN do it!!!  Just keep telling yourselves "One More Day" and you will get through!  It is so much better on the other side!!!  ANd getting into some kind of aftercare helps more than I can say!!!  I know it seems like it drilled into your heads and on all the posts but it is true!!!  We can all do this together!!!

Hey there, CricketK92!
    60 Days!  That's Amazing!
Last night, I was reading some very disturbing info, about the statistics of successful, lasting recoveries of opiate addicts.  Let me just say, it was less-than encouraging.  It did seem though, that those that entered into a recovery program, i.e. inpatient or outpatient services, plus sober living or some other kind of after-care, had a much better chance of making it, than those who did not.  So, you are right to indignantly attempt to jam that idea into any opiate addicts brain.(I'm sure you've been very dignified. Sorry!) In some, if not many cases, it seems that whether or not someone chooses to become involved in a support program, could be a life or death decision...literally!  Well, I'll get off my soap box.(I've had 2, too many cups of joe, this morning!) Sending thoughts of Strength and Love to you!

Congratulations, and yes you have been very inspiring to me especially through my first week. It's still a roller coaster at 16 days, but I keep putting one foot in front of the other. Thank you so much for every kind word you have said to me. It's nice to hear things from people who have been through exactly what your going through. Thank you....... Tina your next milestone will be 90 days wow that's awesome!!!!!!!
