Thank you for dropping back in and encouraging all of us!  609 DAYS IS FANTABULOUS!!

I appreciate you continuing to bop back in at different intervals and share with us...We all need to hear from "leaders of the pack" like you!....I think it would be great to hear from you more often....if you'd consider that... as I think you have A LOT of experience, strength, hope and humor to share with us!

I didn't recognize you when you posted tonight, so I tooted around and found some really funny and wise things you have shared over the last few yrs.  I just found this forum in Aug 2012 at 55 days clean, so I think we kinda "crossed in the mail", lol.   I didn't actually get to benefit from your journey when you were actually living thru it.

It's always good to read others reflections and what they were so sure they didn't need to do to STAY clean at one point in their journey and then see them  (thru hard won lessons)  come full circle in their thinking which is precisely WHY you have 609 DAYS clean!!

I found myself hooting outloud at a few of your older posts and also smiling at one of your analogies.  Wanna share them....cause I wrote them down so I'd remember them (lol)

When you were 35 days clean your first CT off the hydros, you were sharing about endorphins and exercise and how much that was helping you.  You said, "The endorphins you get from a treadmill are so much better than a 10/325 because they're produced by you, and not by Watson."  Hahahaha!!  You added, "that's sort of a dry joke that only someone whose life was run by norco might enjoy".

Well, I DID enjoy it.....this many, many moons later... so thank you for that.  Not only am a an ex-hydro user.......I NEEDED to read that word "treadmill" tonight lol
And when I get my butt back on that treadmill, I will ALWAYS think of you!

Course, your experiences aren't mine to share, but what I would like to share is how cool it was to read your journey and all the things you tried first.... that you later came back to share with others.  Guess THAT'S what I'd love to hear from you NOW.

You were determined the first time when you stayed clean 90 days to do it "in cognito" I think you said, lol, and hide the addiction and you said that the whole aftercare idea...."no way" did it apply to you, lol  You ended up sharing your secret, cutting off your sources, praising INPATIENT and rehab and attending meetings.  I TRULY enjoyed that journey with you!

One last quote of yours that holds so much wisdom:  (this was at 193 days clean this last rodeo ride)

"Just stay with the pack......the ones that stay on the outskirts of the pack are the ones that tend to get picked off by the lion."

Thank you my friend.......and CONGRATS again on 609 DAYS~
