61 days!

Quitter/Relapser is clean for 61 days. Praise the lord.

Every day is not a perfect day. All the things I thought i needed my DOC to do, turns out it was a big fat lie. Turns out that coffee gets the job done just fine.

It took a while and i'm still not 100%. I'll always be on guard.

The hardest thing i did was also the most important. I cut my sources. In retrospect, I had to take this step. It meant that I wanted to quit.  It's SO HARD to do, and it doesn't feel good for a while. It's the best thing i did. Today, I can't even tempt myself. I can't get it. It's such a blessing.

The one thing I keep reminding myself of is the awful feeling you get when you wake up without your doc and no money or means to go buy, borrow, steal, pillage or simply beg for some more! Jeezus we put ourselves through so much misery and then turned back around and dove straight back in head first for more. That's no life my friend, its much more appealing to look people in the eye again and be able to hold your head up and say, I'm clean!!! Sobriety rocks my friend, the rollercoaster is for sure wild at times, but once its finished with you, you'll be standing with NEW friends laughing once again with renewed hope and understanding, truly you will, ;)

It's a bit hard to look back right now, but i really am happy to discover i can live good without doc. I was sinking and i was sort of aware. Once the awareness hits you, it also takes the good out of it. Just have to dig deep and call it quits. Life is good.

Hey Mutty, I so get how hard cutting sources is, my sources were my best friends, my god it was all my friends, it cut me deep to cut them out but now I'm clean my eye's have been opened to how much of a mess I was in, I was lost my friend! Its not until you make these positive steps that recovery truly begins, granted it feels hard at first but your life will be moving forward while there's is stagnant, not good for them but its you that matters now! Congratulations my friend, this is a massive step!!! And yes coffee rocks, haha! So does fresh air funnily enough, lol. Well done thus far and 61 days is simply amazing, doesn't it feel good to say your clean, ;))

Life is good.  I couldn't miss a morning without my 2 cups of coffee.  Cutting your sources is huge....no looking back and good things to come. Congratulations!!

Thanks everybody. My buddy is still popping. The only difference is that sources thing. Everyone (including me) thinks they can do it without cutting off. A safety valve, whatever, we tell ourselves.

It so stinks at first, but it's a huge step and, for me, it was the turning point. It's a big emotional payoff that comes down the road.

CONGRATS! 60 Days is awesome! Do you still have have low energy? I am on 32 days and I can't wait to feel like myself again. Some days are good then some bad .. Up and Down I go LOL

Congrats.... I know what you mean.. today is my day 50 and still some things are hard... but sooooo much better.  It's a life choice but what a better life... keep it up.... BEST to you.
