80 Days Off Methadone, Yipi!!!

For those of you who have supported me & followed my journey in detoxing off methdone, just want to let ya know I am 80 days clean & I do mean clean, { as I used nothing but clonodine during my first two weeks detoxing }, & couldnt be happier about my outcome, as their was a time when I felt doomed & beaten & I even reached a point in my detox when I thought I,d be better off back on methadone, this was during my first 3 weeks detoxing when the depression was at a all time high, & anxiety was with me daily, I can even remember when I isolated myself from family, friends & co-workers, what a time I had, but I just wanted to tell all of you & anyone out their who may find themselves detoxing off methadone that things get better, I am 100% back to normal now, & will never forget all the people who supported me on this forum, thanks everyone! You have been done a rough path. It is so good to read such a happy ending. Please do stick around. There seems to be a lot more people thinking that methadone is the way to go. They need to hear more from those on the other side of methadone.

I remember when you started Penelope. It was a hard go- but you have overcome! Keep posting for the newcomers who are just starting down this difficult path. They need the hope you provide. Congratulations- you are awesome.

Wow, has it been 80 days. Way to go girl. You are going to be so much inspiration to others here that are struggling with Methadone.

what a great positive post :) so happy to hear your clean and doing great. methadone is h ell to come off of, but you have done it and almost 3 months clean. hold your head high, you shoud be very proud. best of luck to ya.
