destiny , hummmm it could have been either but when you say energy I think tramadol. When it comes to inflammatory I think toradol is by far the best .It works great for kidney pain.

I am so confused now. sorry guys.

CRYSTNA... i take sevent flower for anxiety and sleep it helps alot with that it is a natural medicine.

i took a non narcotic that started was either toradol or tramadol it was for pain, that is what i was talking about. it worked GREAT but i also said i can see why people get hooked on it because it gave me so much energy.

If you go to the Tramadol site. It explains to not use if you have a history of opiate addiction. It is a synthetic opiate. There are so many here that have bad stories to tell about Tramadol.

I didnt have a problem with them they didnt give me nothing like the "high" I got from hyrdos. I guess no matter what you take you have to take with caution but if it is for "true pain" then there is just cause to take it. I have dealt with chronic pain for over 2 years now and i got off all the pain pills to see how much pain was "actual" and how much was the hydros trying to get me to take more meds.  The pain is still there and i am into 3 months without hydros.  Praying that one day they figure out what is causing the pain so that i can be pain free.  I dont take pain meds often because i cant bear to w/d again that was like hell and dont try and call the doctor then they just turn your back on you, (or at lease all mine did)

lisa , ultram is like going from the frying pan into the fire.It is just as addicting and coming off of it is worse then hydro. PLZ stay away from it ,flush down the nearest toilet.

Doc might had been thinking that you'd be
better off with with Ultracet than Hydro's, how-ever they both are opiates. With that being said, unless if there is a strong taper program in place and executed you would just be trading one addiction for another.

Which addiction would be worse I don't know and not sure if that really matters because withdrawing from either one of them will require time and discomfort, perhaps major discomfort depending on how long you've been taking them and how many.

As I understand Ultracet from my experience is that it has some anti-depressant qualities to it thus providing the opportunity for becoming mentally addicted to it also. The good feelings (early on) are very seductive and tempting to take more than needed for pain.

Again, please consider putting together a taper program otherwise you risk trading addictions. Perhaps cutting back by 1/2 tab every 3~5 days would work for you. Plan it out on a calander with a quit day as your goal. It's just really critical to have a working plan in place when tapering down to an eventual CT.

Best wishes

That is right goingtomakeit, that is why they say to tell your doctor if you have a history of drug abuse.  It is highly addictive.  You need to be very careful you aren't just trading one drug for another.

Good Luck

Ultracet is Tramadol and acetaminophen. Tramadol is highly addictive and a bear to quit. Those on Tramadol should taper off of it. It is a synthetic opiate. Most here would not recommend it for w/d.

they gave me ultracet last week which in generic is toradol.  it worked SOOOO good on my pain i would take 2 in the morning at like 7am and it wouldnt stop working all the way until like 4pm.  I had this burst of energy (which is why i think some get hooked) i got alot done and was in a great mood. Seeing that I have come off hyrdos i have to be very cautious.  be careful and do not take more than needed or you will be right back where you started.

best of luck
