Alcohol Withdrawal

I'm a 23 year old male. I'm not on any medication and have never had a health issue. For the last 13 days, I have been drinking heavily every night during the night time with friends. Some nights weren't as heavy as others. I took last night off and started getting sweaty, feeling very anxious and my heart was beating rapidly. I read that you can experience seizures and delirium tremens when quitting cold turkey. So in response to this, I drank two beers last night and will drink 1 tonight to taper off. Before this bender, I would go out twice a week on weekends with my friends and drink heavily. I have a few questions. 1. Have I drank for a long enough time for a seizure or Delirium tremens to be likely? 2. How long will it take for the withdrawal symptoms to subside from a bender of 13 days?

Alcohol is a nervous system depressant,   somewhat the same as the benzo drugs' effect on the body.      When you depress the nervous system,   it wants to return to its normal level self as soon as the chemical begins to wear off.    So it speeds up.     That's when you get jittery,  sweaty and anxious.     Its also the way into addiction in order to not want to face those symptoms.    Stop drinking for good.     It's only a path to an awful life.

How much have you had to drink each night? And you haven't been drinking around the clock, just in the PM? If I understand you correctly I think you may have more of a serious hangover as withdrawal effects. But withdrawing from alcohol can be very serious. If you continue to feel really bad I would suggest you going into an ER and telling them the whole deal. Hope you feel better soon. You should if you do not continue to drink.
