Beautiful day

Just wanted to update. Today is 69 days for me and I am learning more and more about myself each day. I wake up with energy and a new outlook on life. I posted here about my 60 day mark and how great that was.  It just keeps getting better. My brain must really be getting healthy again because I am so Alive.  I remember dreading sleep because I never knew what tomorrow brought.  Well now I sleep great and dream even better knowing tomorrow will be a beautiful day no matter what transpires. And my favorite part this past few weeks us the pure rush of energy I get when I am doing something.  Never thought a "natural high" such as adrenaline would feel so good.  Well it does.

So to all you newbies just hang in there. I can't stress enough how time is so vital to recovery. Sure vitamins and excersize aid and help tons, but it is time we all need for our bodies and soul to recover. Just want everyone struggling to try and enjoy this beautiful Sunday knowing u too will soon be on the other side of this.  I pray for all of you, for He, Jesus Christ has saved me.  I asked Him why so many times.  I just needed to trust Him.

Happy Sunday!

INSIDER...(:

Lovely...I am so happy you posted this.  We're on the same day-and I realized my addiction tracker is wrong!!  I feel a strong connection to your words.  Every day feels less like existing, and more like living and it is a beautiful thing!
Thank you for sharing your recovery...I hope you continue to do so.
Wishing you all the happiness in the world...

Good for you OutsiderS!  (not really an outsider though are you?) :)

Time heals all wounds has never proven truer for one who is ridding themselves of addiction to drugs.

Thanks for sharing your success story - I have no doubt it will inspire alot of new people here and reassure some of those that have been here awhile but may be having a bad day.  Words are powerful, and thank you for the positive energy that your post has created.  I wish you continued success and I have no doubt you will attain it - you have a great mental attitude that shines through in your words.

Keep it up and keep posting!

Well wishes to you....

Sandy :)

I agree.  The success stories kept me going on here.  I didn't start posting until 60 days so my struggles were kept off this sights.I did struggle of course but it is all worth it now. Just keep in mind anyone still in infancy, it does get better. I promise you.  For me to go a full week in a great mood is what I strived for.  I know I will still have days not always great as yesterday but I believe the word for that is life.  Gone are the days of aching back, chills and fear.  I do not count the minutes or hours anymore.  Life, beyond opiates, is quite amazing.  Hang in there everyone.

Congratulations...And you are absolutely correct - each day is better than the last. I hope that new people read this post and others like it. The forum is here to help people with their journey, and sometimes all there is to read are the heartbreaking struggles that others are going through (mine was one). When I was detoxing I appreciated finding a post like your's, although at the time 69 days seemed like a fairytale. Thanks for the positive words - we all need to hear them no matter what stage of recovery we're in.
