My daughter was real close to her brother, she was doing a little meth, but since her brother was murdered,it's gotten so bad that you can see nothing but bones. I just found out that she's pregnant and homeless.
Here in Louisiana....you can have someone committed if they are a danger to themselves or others. A real danger! However, they can only keep you for 72 hours...so I'm not sure how much good it does. Here it goes through our local corenor's office so possibly give them a call in your area?
Good luck to you and I hope your daughter gets the help the obviously desperatly needs.
After I posted this a thought came to me....this might sound kind of cold and heartless but what about calling the police on her? Sometimes going to jail can be the best thing for some people??? I know this sounds bad but, I've met many people in recovery that came from drug courts and jail....withdrawing on the holding cell floor IS enough for some people. Worse case, she has to clean up for a little while and perhaps some clarity can come to her to make a decision as to what she wants to do???? Just a thought....
