Cocaine nose damage

Last summer (2017) I was under a lot of stress and started drinking and smoking cigaretttes a lot. Things got a a little out of control, I made some poor judgments and I also started sniffing cocaine. This lasted for about 5 months.

I quit everything at 5 months and reverted back to my regular healthy lifestyle - eating well, exercise, etc.

I noticed that during my binge, my nose which is normally very oily became very dry and I figured one I stopped my reckless behaviour that it would slowly go back to normal.

However, ever since I cleaned up my act I noticed my dry nose was shedding dead skin every day. This has been happening for 5 months now and it still hasn’t stopped. This is happening on my entire nose, from the nose bone down the bridge to the nostrils. It’s all shedding skin, dry, scaly and not showing any signs of healing. My nose has thinned quite a bit and lost it’s firmness.

The skin everywhere else on my face is normal but my nose is very irritated, dry and scaly and still peeling.

I’ve tried different things; Vaseline, Cocnut Oil, Shea butter, vitamin C serum, sea buckthorn. All they do is temporarily soften the skin on the nose but it still peels off again the next days.

I’ve seen a dermatologist who looked st my nose for 2 mins and prescribed hydrocortisone which I don’t wanna use because it’s a thinner.

Has anyone experience this?

Will it heal?

Can this become cancerous, given it’s 5 months?

What else can I do?
