How long does it take to get Codeine out of your system if you go cold turkey?

I know what you mean. The FIRST thing I would do in the mornings would be to pop a pill and then get my day started. Once the pill kicked in, I was good to go. Here's the thing...

This morning, I woke up and made coffee. Brushed my teeth and drank a glass of orange juice after I washed my face. I just started my first cup of coffee, and here I am relaxing on my day off with candles lit all over my house and my dog playing in the background. Life. Is. Good.

You know why?

The pills are no longer in my life.

You can do this, I promise you that. When were you thinking of stopping?

Everyone is different, but normally it takes up to 24 hours for the drug to get completely out of your system. This doesn't necessarily mean that your withdrawl will only last 24 hours though, it just means that the drug/opiate itself has left your system. I'm not a doctor, I'm only going on what a doctor told me when I'd asked the same question about Percocet and how long it'd stay in my system after the last time I took a pill.

If you don't mind em asking, are you looking to get off of the pills all together, or were you just asking this one question? If you're looking to get off of the pills, just know that we're all here to help if you need a support team.

It depends on many factors.  The amount of use, and the amount of time using.  Search some of the forums here, and you may find your answer.

As far as Hydrocodone (which is a more potent form of Codeine) it took me 7 - 10 days for withdrawals, and still recovering.

Hope you find the answer you are looking for.
