I suffered from a two year addiction. the high isn't worth the after effects. I know it seems like you cant live with out them, and your world will come crashing down if you don't take them. ive seen very messed up things while doing this. hadda friends heart stop and die about six months back, idk if it was from coricidin or not, but im sure it had something to do with it from where we used to take them all the time. I am socially awkward, I cant think of the right words to say, and stumble my way through conversations. also my kidneys hurt everyday and peed blood for about four months after quitting them. the pills will kill you. tell your parents get help, I wish I did. may God be with you and goodluck

I really needed to read what you posted. and ironically you posted it the day after my birthday. Ive been addicted for 14 years. My heart stopped twice already. I can't tell you what I've been through because of those pills. But reading what you wrote really touched home. Thanks. God bless.

You will die eventually from those. Like Lizzy talked about. They are sooooo dangerous. You are 19 so you don't have to tell your parents. But tell someone and get help soon please :(

My son is addicted to Coricidin and it is ruining his life. He has been on a ventilator and in ICU critical care three times now.  The issue with DXM is that it will shut down your kidneys - and other organs, when taking too many of these pills .. my son has been in denial about his problem, and he is now in jail for 'public intoxication' on these pills. He was walking the road and nearly fell into oncoming traffic and a stranger called an ambulance. He went to the ER but also got a ticket - and then ICU and then jail.  These pills will ruin your life, I urge anyone reading this to STOP and STOP now.  Isn't your body more important than the high?  The risk of taking these is ENORMOUS and life-threatening.  Read about SEROTONIN SYNDROME.  The body produces too much serotonin when taking too much DXM and causes organ failure.  Why do this to yourself?  Get HIGH on life if you can - there is nothing a great at expanding your mind all on your own - just THINK or READ,or take long walks - get high on just "BEING" - no matter how bad your circumstances, you can always change them.

HI although it is not physically addictive it is physiologic and that can make it even harder......there is a wise old man in our forum that says....'''the desire to get clean must exceed the desire to get high''' you got to be there for this to work your best bet is to change all persons places and things that remind you of using that and check inot N/A OR A/A you have to realize the drug in not the problem it is a symptom of addiction you need to treat the addiction if your willing to work at it you can concurre this if not it can pose some serious health risks keep posting how often do you use and stuff like that will try to help you a lot of youg kids get into that stuff that and ROBO are big problems in your age group get free wile you can good luck and God bless........Gnarly
