It shouldn't last much longer. Stay away from caffeine for now. Be sure you're getting enough fluid in. Lack of sleep is the culprit here. Get some Melatonin and Valerian root. It will help you relax and sleep and it's homeopathic.

Try and not focus on the anxiety so much.  Get yourself busy as that will distract you.  You will get thru this........sara

HI.......I really feel for you the anxiety was my worst symptom....dont get me wrong the rls was a close second along with the chills and sweats but by far the anxiety seamed to just lay like a heavy weight on my chest with panic attacks coming and going in waves....try some of the sleepy time teas walmart carys a good brand you can find it with the rest of the teas
it has Camille in it witch relaxes you and it all natural and non addictive ...vlararian root can be got in pill form in the vitamin section years ago in the old world it was considered a natural ''valum'' b/4 valum was invented give some of these a try eventually it woll go away
but I know all to well how nasty it is to have to put up with it good luck and God bless...Gnarly

There is nothing you can do about the horrible withdrawal symptoms. They are inevitable. However, with your doctors assistance and getting yourself prepared, you can make it less extreme. I am on day 8 of opiate withdrawal. First, follow doctors orders. Second, look up Thomas recipe for detox. Third, purchase.. Ensure plus, muscle soak, over the counter Restless Leg Syndrome medicine (sold at cvs) and gatorade and tylonal PM. You CAN do it!! I went through complete and utter HE** last week. I wanted to die. I was horrible and i lost A lOT of weight. Worst thing i have ever been thgouh. However, i am on day 8 and my only enemy now is sleep. You're lucky  IF you have medical insurance, i didn't and I did it. I hope you get through this. The best of luck to you!!

Yes, yes and yes!!  Anxiety is very very normal.  One of the more difficult withdrawal symptoms, like the sleeplessness that I also experienced.  Have you tried any of the supplements listed in the thomas recipe?  I started taking a regular regimen of vitamins and still take all of them every day.  They have helped so much, maybe they would help you too?

And hot showers, laying low and just watching anything mindless, tv, movie, whatever, will help distract you from the anxiety too.  Valerian root can be very helpful as it produces a calming effect.  And I agree with mommyoffive0529, tea helps a lot, the sleeptime tea is especially helpful at night as it can help promote sleep.

Hope this helps.  Good luck to you!

I am so sorry you're suffering.  I know exactly how you feel since I'm just coming out of anxiety from w/d myself and it is true hell.  The xanax will help for a very short time, then you will feel the rebound anxiety even worse, but you can't be having panic attacks so just take as little as you possibly can for now to get yourself through this.  Please tell yourself this will not be forever - you just have to take it minute by minute.  Soon you will begin to notice you don't feel this awful way every moment of the day and that's when you know it's the beginning of the end.  Please hang in there!!

Try some herbal remedies like Gamma and drink a sh*t load of chamomile tea.  Mabe try breathing into a paper bag and put your head between your knees when you feel it coming on.  Hopfully this help.  Wish you the best of luck!
