Can LIOFEN XL 20 help to stop drug addiction

I was prescribed Baclofen when I went off my ms contin. Some say it helps. I was hesitant of replacing one pill with another, especially after I read that people had to taper off the Baclofen. I was prescibed 5mg 3 or 4 times a day (don't remember), but I only took it at bedtime the night they gave it to me.. Can't say it really helped me. I didn't have any issues with sleep during w/d's. If you're thinking of taking it, I suggest you google baclofen withdrawal first.

This medication  is a muscle relaxer also known as baclofen. It won't help much. What drug are you addicted to?

So...did I just read that Liofen XL is used for treating spacitity and hiccups?  If I read correctly, I'm not really sure that this will help unless your assuming that the w/d symptoms will mimic spacicity? (Not sure if thats the right spelling?) But I assume its meaning spazams or spastic?  I don't think that that's going to do you much good for drug addiction?  Would you be willing to tell us what your addicted to and how much....maybe we can start there?
