Day 14 Cold Turkey!! Low energy..when will i get my life back

29 year old mother of three..my youngest is almost 3. 14 days ago I went cold turkey. Taking up to 100 mg a day of hydro and perks for almost 3 years. Been battling with addiction for almost 10 years. Got really bad after my last child! I'm happy that it's been 14 days don't get me wrong but I have no energy at all. Doctor put me on visceral and welburten a couple days ago but I am dragging ***! I have went from being an active mother to one that can barely get out of bed. How much longer before I feel semi normal. This is the hardest thing I have ever done and I don't want to relapse..but I don't know how much more I can take.

Congrats 14 is great keep it up your energy will return soon.Just think you will no longer have to reach for those pills for a false sense of happiness Anymore enjoy your babies.please think about aftercare.keep us posted.

Hi your energy will return ,everyone of us is different you have 14 days in the bag so keep fighting. It will get better sooner than later. If you and I think you will beat this demon and see the other side of life clean. I was a heroin addict for 20 years I also went cold turkey. It was so hard but I stuck to my guns I also relapsed countless times but now I'm over 500 days clean. So your energy will return and that's when you will know that you have done the hard part. I know you will be so happy when the fight is over and you have returned to a normal life. I wish you the very best of luck for the future and stick to your plan . Its worth every bit of pain and all the other sh,,t that goes with it. You can and will do this sending prayers and strength for you my friend.     James

Congrats on those 14 days!!!  I know this part is tough but it is only temporary.  Are you taking any vitamins?  Try some B vitamins along with Ester C.  It takes our body some time to adjust and heal from all the abuse.  Just know you are doing something really really good for you and your family.  Have you given any thought to aftercare?

What you can take?   Your body can 'take' 60% more than your mind thinks.  You're no where NEAR what you are capable of...  Positives are your 29 and have already gone 14 days... you know how many try and fail?  You are succeeding!!  You'll feel better soon enough - sooner than most I'll assume.  You're clean and that's all that matters now.    Enjoy your new perspective as you've been numb for years..  Finally go hug your kids - this ain't just about us...
