Day 18!!! Hope and Miracle!!!

I keep renewing myself!!!!  When I start to feel down, I fight!!  I am coming out the other side!!!  This is the hardest and easiest thing I ever had to do in my life!!!!

September 26
Perpetual Morning

It is my fundamental nature to be always in a state of flux. My brain is elastic and ever young. I can and will tell myself a hundred times today that my brain has the ability to be ever flexible and open. Why should I atrophy, why should I decay psychologically? Life would be so much more pleasant if I felt young - not necessarily in years, but in spirit. I can be new each day. I can be new no matter how old I become. Today I will affirm my inner newness and openness over and over. Rather than slowly close, I will open; rather than decay, I will grow into new ways of living, new levels of experience.

To him whose elastic and vigorous thought keeps pace with the sun, the day is a perpetual morning.
Henry David Thoreau
The great art of life is knowing how to turn the surplus life of the soul into life for the body.
Henry David Thoreau

its always good to use affirmations to improve your day....in order to beet this thing you need to have a positive attitude dispite how good or bad you feel feelings both good and bad are just another way your body/mind tells you you are alive do the best with the day your having not all will be great but you just got to fake it till you make it ......I have said this b/4 your attitude ROCKS
that will get you farther then any one thing this is truly a battle one or lost in ones own mind we must become over comers your doing realy well keep up the good work and sobriety will be yours..........Gnarly

i think that it is also important to say to all the others that don't feel so "positive" that it is normal, i don't want you feeling down because you are not feeling the same as confortquinn...the mental part is really tough and not easy at all,  i didn't have such a positive mind as confort and nonetheless, i pulled through the days, i tried to be positive, sure but some days were really overwhelming and it was hard but don't get discouraged... this is a long race, each day at a time, fellow addicts

WOW! Inspired again and again with all of you. I will take those words through life with me now. My attitude just got better reading it. I am honored to know you all in here anyway. What you all wrote, and said makes so much sense it is amazing. Like a lightening bold in my head so to speak. Stay positive and keep inspiring those behind you, like me - God knows I need it. Thanks again

Yes, I am doing this one day at a time.  I do not know and don't care how I am going to feel tomorrow!  I am just dealing with how I feel NOW!  It's pretty cool!

I agree with the down part too!  I felt like I was a puddle on the floor for a couple days in a row and I actually feel like crap now, but I know it will get better, from reading other people's stories.  Knowing it takes time.  Anyways, when I see myself like a puddle on the ground, I have to kick myself and say, "Hey, get up!"  That's what I do and I believe when that happens I am not the only one kicking me!  God is there kicking me too!!!  I don't like to swear, but I swear this one day, I was so down and that is exactly what happened.  I had a little spark in me that I thought was maybe gone and then I am telling you, someone "God" told me you need to get your spark back and fight and that's what I am doing!!!  I thank God everyday!!!
