I've made it 30 days clean.  Wow.  This ties my 2-year record.

I'm never going back.  Instead, I'm moving forward.

But I've got to tell you:  its hard.  Thank God, fate, luck or whatever led me to my epiphany -- the drugs kept me in a downward spiral of depression from which I have not yet escaped.  I couldn't believe it when I was researching PAWS that these symptoms last 6 months or longer!

Even though I exercise, I still have low energy and lower motivation.  I have to force myself to accomplish things.  I know it will get better, but its been a long long long 30 days!

Thanks for everyone's help and caring!

Good Luck Mate,
It is hard to find motivation to exercise when you are feeling low.  Is there anything you used to really enjoy doing before?  Something not too demanding, like reading or painting?
Someone recommended the Coue thing to me.  It sounded like a load of cobblers but I tried it and couldn't believe the difference it made.
You just state: 'Everyday, I'm getting better and better' daily for a couple of months.  It is some sort of autosuggestion that makes you feel subconsciously more positive.  I would be interested to know if this helps you as well.

Congrats on 30 days! I am 40 days today! I do the same thing by making myself exercise daily and I also changed my diet. It does make me feel better and yes the mental part is a challenge! But I look at how long I was on those stupid pills compared to how I feel now and knowing that this was the best decision I ever made!
