Day 4 onto to Day 5

Well I continue to feel better and will be attending another NA meeting on Friday.  I was curious as I was reading through posts that it seems like the majority of people stop posting after 90-120 days and seem to just disappear.  Why is this?  What happens at that point in recovery?  Are people relapsing or is it something else?

If you are struggling why wait until Friday to get to a meeting? No time like right now.

Don't be in such a hurry that you miss today. Slow and steady and pretty soon you will have the time you are wishing for.

Hang in there and be good to yourself.

Thanks for all the positive support! It really means alot coming from you guys.

Unfortunately the mental part is still kicking my a**!  At this point I'm in such a hurry to get to 30 days or 60 days instead of just being happy I am at 5 days.  I guess slowing down taking today for today is part of breaking the addiction

I agree with sad , alot of us are just tackling the task of repairing our lives and some relapse also I am sure.I still post here though because it helps to help others. Also because I am not going to na because it just doesn't work for me.  Great job on five days

Post acute withdrawl symptoms wreak havoc on the brain...maybe they forgot their password?? LOL

I was actually wondering the same thing..Sad woman is likely on the right track. Just remember that if you stay connected with meetings and this forum you are far less likely to relapse.

And I want to shout out a big congrats to 133113. Way to turn your life around wooooo hoooooooo!!

I think it's a combination..yes, relapse does happen but they say 90 days is a turning point and things get markedly better for lots of people. I suppose at that point they are busy with their lives and not as "desperate" for lack of a better word as they are in early days of post detox so they post less often. That's my guess.

Congrats on day 5! Keep going strong, it gets better and better :)
