You are doing really well and will begin feeling better and getting more sleep before you know it!! Hang in there! IT DOES get better!
When I was going through this stage I got caught up on all the late night TV that I'd been missing (right!). I was amazed at how engrossing the infomercials had become. I was watching one without realizing it was an infomercial until a guy came on trying to sell me something.
It takes time. Sleep will return. That's a promise.

I made it to work - it is 6:30 AM - and I am . . . . .what is the right word "jonesing" or "craving" - for a Norco.
Just think how much better my presentation would be if I had one!!
No sleep - I have a bottle of 5 hour energy drink on my desk - if I drink half - will I have energy for 2.5 hours - I'm trying to be funny . . . . .
You're amazing for holding it together through work and meetings! I went through the exact same sleep patterns. It will get better soon for you. It sounds like you're going with what your body wants to do with sleep rather that using sleep aids. That's the way to do it. The normal patterns will return much faster that way and your brain won't be all fogged up for 7am meetings. You're doing great!
Hey Wildewoman,
Same kind of night for me also. Up down flip flop over and over. I am a little more fortunate in that I don't have to go anywhere today. Although sometimes that can be a blessing in disguise. Yayyyy that you have no cravings. Being a looooong time survivor of panic attacks and the like and
not being able to get benzo's (they won't give them to me.) I've had to learn to deal with it in other ways."Breathing".......deep long slow breathes in through nose then slow breathe out through mouth completely; do this 5 times in a row and you will notice a huge effect immediately.
Good luck today......you'll be grrrreaaat!
