Day 9 of weaning

Today is my 9th day of detox. I am weaning rather quickly; 30-40 per day to now 9.5.
Not bad at all. I feel alive. I feel. I f'in FEEL. My emotions have been up and down, and the pain in the morning is somewhat unbearable, but not so much that I am going to give up. I (with God's help) am going to do this ONE DAY AT A FREAKIN TIME!
I tried brewers yeast for the chills, and after gagging and almost throwing it up (worst taste EVER) the chills were mild.
I am not weaning so much that i dont have pain- i feel that is the easy way out. I am however weaning just enough to remember what it has done to me.
You guys and your posts and your abilities have kept me going strong.
I am so glad you are ALL here...
i was able today to go to therapist, clean a bit, go xmas shopping and out to dinner with my boyfriend. who would have thought it possible.
I have handed the pills over to him, and truly have a half left to take tonight if I choose....
but I am gonna pass this time.
My goal...to throw em away when I reach that point of pure disgust.

You're getting there, you CAN do it. We all can. God and supportive people are key man, no way I could have done it with the trash I'd been living with.

I'm all for changing the way you feel however you can without dope, at least to get through in the beginning...sugar, coffee, lots of meetings, late nights with sober people. They got a thing in Houston called SRC, Sober Recreation Committee. They do bowling, softball, volleyball, billiards, all kinds of stuff. Hook up with sober folks and have some fun.

8.5 today. Not bad. withdrawals are mainly moodiness and an innate desire to change the way I feel...big surprise....
BUT , God is helping with that, along with my LOVING supportive perfect partner.
So, just thought I'd update. Right on track.
