Detox 2.0?

My poor bod is terribly confused right now.

I quit hydrocodone c/t about a week and a half ago. I came off of 20-30 10-325s a day for about two years. For the first three days, it was pretty grim. I was exhausted, shaky, anxious, nauseous, and all the rest. Still, my symptoms were mild compared to much of what I've read on here. By Day 4 or 5, I was feeling pretty well.

Over the last few days, I've gotten really sick. Terrible migraines, I can't keep anything down, and my back aches something fierce. I don't know what's going on. I feel way worse now, a week and a half later, than I did when I began detox.

Is it common to have delayed wd symptoms? The only other thing I can think of that's causing this is that I've been taking (or trying to) penicillin for a tooth infection. I've never had trouble with penicillin before, including both off and on opiates. Now that my body's on its way to clean, is it possible it's become hypersensitive, especially my stomach? I'm troubleshooting here and not having much luck.

Don't rule out the chance that these symptoms could be totally unrelated. Maybe related to the tooth infection? It happens...

If you continue to vomit it bears looking into but I hope you begin to feel better by tomorrow.

Hang in there you'll come around! I know easier said than done but when i was past the first month most my aches & pains subsided, came way less & was managed easily by my 2 favorite DOC, Advil & Excedrine. I remember that first month my back pained had seemed to intensify so much more than ever! Remember what all we've put our bodies through & how long we did it, so i figure it won't heal immediately by far. I abused my body with the same drug for about 8 yrs, up to 80-90mg a day, so i think feeling the way i did @ day 30 was awesome. Keep up the good work & know ur not alone. Oh 1 more thing, it's very important to stay hydrated cause u definitely don't want to get dehydrated!!  Love & prayers, Stacy

yeah I remember wacky symptoms showing up from noplace when I thought I was out of the woods, but good thing about them is they don't last long at all.

hang in there, you are almost there.
1 full month clean you will be so much better, you will be loving life, and from there it gets better and better. I have read it takes a full 90 days for oour bodies to recover totally. I am 56 days today and I feel great, just still facing a little energy loss, but no big deal. I push through it. I can see how it takes 90 days now, it all makes sense, and I am looking forward to getting all my energy back soon. In the meantime I do thebest I can with the energy I have an I appreciate the little things in life because i feel so darned good.
You will be feeing good soon too,
hugs,
Lily

We often have increased pain once we stop the meds.  Rebound pain is no fun but it does subside. It is just our brains way of messing with us.  Having a sensitive tummy is pretty common too.  Have you tried any OTC counter stuff like Zantac or pepcid?  That was a life saver for me.
