Detox withdrawal

Due to a connection, I can go to detox in a hospital for Vicodin, Percocet, Soma and Valium for less cost than normal. She said it would be 5-10 days.. She then wants to send me to a rehab. The rehab is out...too expensive. What I need to know is the following...all the pills I take cause constipation. 5-10 days of detox will get the drugs out of my system. But, what about withdrawal. Since I have been taking these pills and a significant amount for the last 10 years (due to a motorcycle and construction accident), after the detox, will I still go through withdrawals. W/O being gross, since all these pills cause constipation, am I going to be exploding for weeks to come? I am in construction. I do not work in an office. I do not have the luxury to run back and forth to the toilet. Also, I tried the detox thing once before. When I left, they gave me dilantin so as to prevent seizures. If I am detoxed, why do I need dilantin? Withdrawal...diahrea especially, doesn't work in the field or on a deck job (a new building). So, what is the deal with all these questions and the answers I need.

Thank you all for your help!

I am currently going threw detox wasnt planning on it ,but its time, I had 230 10mg oxycontin stolen from my purse on a public bus (gotta love some of the people one there) and yes they are prescription. I had a horse accident 6 years ago broke my back herniated 2 disks and ruptured one. I am on vacation so i cant get to my DR and have decided to go off of them i was on 80mg a day and am starting to feel the effects. I have just gotten sick of worrying about not having them and feel im getting addicted as i wasnt able to go 1 day without. All the research i have done if you need and probably will immodium will do wonders. drink lots of fluids as much as you can it will help flush your system, eat foods that are bland as your stomach wont tolerate much more. vitamin A & C are good also. as for any prescription drugs i cant comment on that. But I hope this will help you a little as i think it is helping me.

Welcome to a chance at a new life without drugs and alcohol.Vicodin and percocet ran my life for a long time.Today I dont need any of that crap.Detox is good for starters but after that if you want to stay clean, its all about after care .I saw your post and you mentioned deck job . I was just talking to a friend about bidding a new building deck job in manhatten I do electrcal contracting and I found that interesting that you said that.If I were detoxing on my own I would not recomend working in that enviroment. It start out a little rough but it gets better every day.Good luck my brother

Hi!  I'm glad you are getting the chance to go to a professional detox.  Lots of people would kill to have that.  I have been to several.  They only work if you are ready!  That being said, if you are there 5 to 10 days, they will have you detoxed for the most part.  You may have some lingering, bothersome stuff like low energy and insomnia, but fight that off and know that it doesn't last forever.  Don't try to take anything to alleviate the insomnia that is prescription.  That will only prolong it.  As for the diarrhea, use imodium.  That will help a lot. The dilantin is probably more preventative than anything, but that is something you should ask them.  I have never been given that after detox, so I'm not sure on that one!
