I have been using Lortab for a couple of months and have decided to quit.  I have had my mom abuse and my only brother abuse and both in rehab.  Of course they have relapsed many times.  I was using 10-12 lortab a day and have cut it faithfully down to 1 every 8 hours.  I am not sleeping i have terrible night sweats and i just keep telling myself that I can do this for myself and my family.  Can anyone tell me how long I will continue to suffer withdrawls?

The w/d's are about 4 to 5 days the worse of it anyways... I was trying the tapper has just prolonged the misery!! I am going CT (cold turkey) in the morning. this site is great.. just keep posting.
The cravings and other things(see PAWS to the right bottom) seem to last longer. everyone is different.. Best of luck... Hate those night sweats. But your body has to get rid of the poison some how...

Welcome, And do not feel like anything is to dumb to ask.... It's not..

you shouldn't feel like a failure. thats a big cut down in pills. tapering didn't work for me i was too greedy. if you have the strength to taper i say you're doing great. the sweats lasted a couple weeks for me and i will never forget that unusal smell. i would sweat thru my hands and feet too. tyl. pm helped me with sleep. it does get better. have you checked out the health pages here?

Is this your first time detoxing from the LTabs? If yes, it could be several days before you start feeling better.  My first time was about 4 days of hell and then a few days of a little better.  After a week, things were picking up.  You can do it though, it's just very uncomfortable. Fight it - don't let the w/d's wash over you and take your soul.  Keep telling yourself that you are doing this for yourself and your family.

Everyone here is great. Keep this forum up and visit/read/post regularly while you are going through the w/d's. Everyone here knows how you feel and has shown to be very supportive.
