I just read some other comments by Will and it seems he's tapered down to 10 mg...I didn't get that at all.   LOL!

Good luck with this Will and keep in touch!

God is good!!!  I'm on day 9, and things are better every day.  Sleep is still difficult, but the difference in the clarity of my mind is amazing.  Keep the faith, Brother!

Thanks for asking brother, its encouraging to hear from u. I'm actually doing pretty good, just a little mild leg cramps, a bit of RLS, and some tossing during the night. I just have to give the credit to The Lord, and my brothers and sisters in Christ that are praying for me. But how are u doing? I've kept u in my prayers and have faith u r doing well. Through Christ anything is possible!

You're welcome and I'm happy you feel good today and that you're eating!!

I would ask the folks at the health food store what they recommend for a good multivitamin. I would take something with minerals, as well. Also, I'd take extra vit C and the B vitamins.

Are you having any trouble with RLS and sleep?

First I wanted to say thank you for asking and caring, that alone makes me feel better. Today I actually feel ok, and I'm eating well. I'm not taking any vitamins, but when I get paid on Friday I plan on going by the health food store and picking some up. Do u have any advise on what kind I should get? And once agian thanks!

How are you doing today?  Are you eating well? You need to keep eating and drinking, you'll feel worse if you don't. Are you taking vitamins?
Keep in touch!

Another thing to look forward to, is that your mind will start getting clearer the further away from the methadone you get.  Today is Day 7 for me, not symptom free, but definitely better.  And knowing we are Brothers in Christ, I'll be praying for you.  "All things are possible through Christ who strengthens me."  You and God can do it!

Hello Will..congratulations first of all:) my fiancee was on methadone since November 2011 and he was on 80 mgs a day, then switched to sub 16 mgs a day for a week and was in withdrawls and just completely messed up and yet still having withdrawls the entire week so he finally quit it all CT and is now on day 27 clean and detoxed! This is all after a 11 year addiction so yes you're going to be fine. You're going to have withdrawl symptoms I'm sure but since you done the taper hopefully they won't be as hard on you. Either way you're doing the right thing and you're right you can do anything through Christ. I couldn't imagine going more than 6 hours without a pill and now I'm on day 15!! All glory to God for giving me the desire, the guidance, and the strength to get through everyday. I'm so blessed and thankful to be clean today and I give God all of the credit for it. Trust in the Lord and he will sustain you!! Be blessed:)

Thanks too all that have been posting on here with great advise. Sorry about the way I made it look like I was going cold turkey off of 120, I'm new here and I'm not computer savvy, also a little out of it. But please continue too give any advise, I'm in a dark place and need the help and support.

Thanks for your concern vicki595,   I should have made it clearer but I'm a little out of it, but no I'm not going cold turkey from 120. I was on 120 for 8 years until I started going down 10 milligrams every Monday and Thursday until yesterday I took my last dose of 10. I have felt like crap since I got down too 20 and 10, but its really bad today and I know that's just the beginning. I was just looking for some encouragement from people who have been there before, so thanks a lot for helping.

Thanks for your input brother. But no I'm not cold turkey from 120, I've been detoxing 10 milligrams every Mon. and Thursday, yesterday was my last 10 milligram dose, but I've been having all those withdrawal symptoms since I got down to 20, and its really ruff now that I'm on nothing. But I too have a strong faith in Christ and believe He will carry me through this. Once again thanks brother, we can do this!

Hi there, I don't know if you are jumping at 120mgs but if you are that would be a nasty withdrawal. Vicki says you are at 10mgs, still I think that would be hard but I also know that others have done it. I have been tapering for 2 years from 130mgs and now down to 20mgs, so far so good but my plan is to take it right down to 0, I know I will have discomfort, none of us get out of this easily. I wish you all the best and hope things go well for you..........Gayle

HAHA!  Yup!  I'm thinking we don't have the whole story...maybe...
I'm not sure I've ever talked to anyone who jumped from this amount....I'll do some checking....

I knew the wise words of Vicki would eventually show up here!  I think this is pretty risky as well.

Oh boy!  I woulddnt do that if I were you. That's way to much to CT from...Is there a reason why you can't taper down? Most people taper down to at least 30mg if not lower.  This is risky...

I'm on day 6 since my last dose of methadone.  My dosage was much lower than yours, but I'm guessing the withdrawal symptoms will be the same.  My first 4 days were very uncomfortable--insomnia, some chills, achiness, restless legs, and anxiety.  Yesterday (day 5) seemed to be when things started to improve.  Normal sleep patterns will be the very last thing to come back.  It won't be easy, but you can do it.  My faith has been extremely helpful, and you'll find encouragement here.  Godspeed!

Are you starting to taper off 120 mg of methadone or are you planning on going CT off 120 mg?  That's a pretty high dose and I think you'll feel very ill.  Hopefully those with more knowledge of methadone will come along with some suggestions.
