Had gastric bypass or know much about it i'm having surgery Tuesday scared to death!
Being scared means you are smart and realize the risks as well as the benefits! I had my bypass on Thursday. Was nausous but my pain never got above a 3 on a 10 pt scale. Did not use a single drop of self administered meds. Am I bragging? I cried everytime I had a shot or had blood drawn. Am a big baby. 5 days later I am still occasionally light headed. And food is quite a challenege. I also did 15 min on the exercycle and walked 2 blocks. Get the feling that my recovery will be a lot like life - ups and downs.
