xanax for a month, now withdrawl.

I don't know what to do. I took a 2mg bar a night for sleep for 1 month.
If only I had educated myself on Alprazalam sooner. I quit cold turkey.
It's been a little over a week. Omg what am I going through? And how long with this last?

I hope someone responds.

simple answer is stop taking pills if you just accept that to will feel kind of crappy for a couple of weeks this will be over, I have taken pills on a off for years im no stellar example but what I do know is dragging the WD out over time is an easy way to fall back into using so my advice is just stop.

Yesterday I went back to my doctor. She put me on clonzepam. I don't want to take anything. How do I achieve this and get back to my normal self.

Taking strong a strong benzo like xanax for a month or less could mean that your wd symptoms will be minimal. You say it's already been a week? If you don't feel anything after a week of ct, than you are pretty much in the clear. You are very lucky. That's a pretty high dose. But, you are lucky that you stopped after one month. I would look into the CAUSES of your insomnia. We addicts just reached for a pill for anything that ailed us and it caused the ruination of our lives. You don't want to go down that road.
