Exercise.... It soooo helps

I made it through an hour spin class. Burned 700 calories. Drank a Gatorade and two bottles of water. I hadn't taught without a pill in ages!! I, my awesome community, rocked it!!! I worked out at home when I had insomnia this am. I found my replacement It's called adrenaline. It feels good. Just sitting in the sauna at my gym. Gonna take a hot tub and I have a therapy appointment today!
To anyone who is still thinking about quitting. Anyone having a rough wd. A hard week ... I say you got this!!! It's mind over matter. And you matter. And your mind wants to be fully back!!!

Not everyday will be this good. But at least I have clean blood. Clear mind. And I am not chasing my next dose.
Peace and love.

Haha my husband is at work but I handled that after my nap TMI. I just wanna sit. And sit and sit. In the hot tub. I've done that twice today. I've never really big on supplements or replacements but I'm thinking I may need an amino.
I am very hard on myself. Always have been. Sigh
Thank you love-

This fatigue just *****. I'm barreling through but heading to nap two and it's  not even two o'clock. I have walked. Woken up at three am. Had my grandson. Got groceries. Started laundry. Had a nap at nine. And here goes another. Seems like to many naps would f up my sleep. I wake up so early but that's nothing new. I have tons to do tonight. Big party and teaching two classes tomorrow. And going camping again Saturday and Sunday to cut wood. But this lethargic exhausted feeling. Blah. The sore muscles I'll attribute to my workouts.
Can I truly just be a fatigued person!? I'm on what day 12 off of 30-50 mgs norco.... I am almost ready to brew coffee.
Grrrrrr. My spirit feels a bit broke.

What a great update!!  You are pushing thru and your positive attitude will take you far!!  Always keep your GUARD UP with this addiction.  We never know when it will rear its ugly head.  It is sly cunning and baffling.

As for the sex........i am over 7 yrs clean and it keeps getting better every time!!  I usually advise to keep water by your bedside!!!  Glad you got your MOJO back!!!

I so, so, so agree with Jerry that sex is better of opiates.  Oxy pretty much killed any sex drive I had.  And it definitely helps our brains make endorphins again.

Vibe:  I'm going to be taking you up on your offer of PT advice..I'll send you a pm when I get a minute.  Thank you for your generosity!!

Hugs,
-Robin

Yea!!! The pool is a bonus. I fortunately have a gym I work at so I have access to every thing I need. But walks. Hikes. Yoga on Netflix. So many options. Get moving.
I am sore as heck. My shoulder injury is flaring up. But a little Aleve and it flares down.
One hour at a time.

so great to hear the positive message and YES exercise is huge in recovery but many out there have huge limitations so everyone needs to do what they can on that front but if your able it make you feel super human at times I always say go outside get some sun walk swim whatever I found my relief just hanging on the end of the deep side of the pool I felt weightless so to all out there struggling today try and get up and get moving it will really help and if your in so cal its going to be great day.

NOTE: SEX IS WAY BETTER OFF OPIATES!!!!!!

Thanks guys <3
Yessss all the lovely brain chemicals firing back up. I can remember the feeling now. Pre pills. I teach again this am. It's amazing how even joyful things trigger me for a moment. Last week I didn't work. So getting up at four am pill less is different. But I don't feel like a friend is gone. I go to three pm when my head will still be clear. Not in a hydrocodone fog.
Thanks for the support. I'm a certified PT a spin instructor and a dietician. If any of you have any questions or need any motivation just please ask. I won't charge you lol.
I wanted to mention this as well. Sex. Those first rough four days I forced myself to get frisky with my husband. I honestly believe in our brains ability to heal. And by the time I was excited I would forget the pain. And after it was like wow!!! Okay sleep!!! I even had the strangest reaction to an orgasm... Strange for me... I laughed for a good three to five minutes. Deep belly laugh!!
I have a meeting today. Aftercare starts again as soon as my eyes open. Am I dreaming when I say breaking this habit feels like it will be easy or I won't have the huge cravings. Is that less if you don't use a lot or a long time.

My gf killed herself coming off norco. Two years ago. She was a ten to fifteen pill a day. Snorted. Two babies. God I risked that. I think of her and honor her in my recovery. She had mental issues for ever. So do I think the wd caused it all no. But still. Love her everyday.
Peace love and light.

In my first 30 days off of oxycodone, pretty much the ONLY time I felt okay was when I exercised.

I used to pop a pill and do a hard HOUR on an elliptical.  I thought I was superwoman.  HA!  When I got clean, it was like starting all over again.  Even just 15 minutes of exercise hurt so much!   But I kept it up, and I'm up to 35 minutes at a time.  It still hurts though (on oxy, I was numb to the pain) but afterwards, the natural high I get is wonderful.

Keep going; you're doing great!!!!!

Your doing Grrrreat!!!!!
We have pushed exercise on here for a long time due to the fact that it stimulates the Serotonin & Endorphin back up that got whacked out of place when we use. Lets not forget about the other Brain Chems that it fires back up too.  Music & the Sun works wonderful too.

YES!!! A nice BIG Positive Attitude goes a long ways.
YOU sound Very Happy. Proud of You!
Keep it up and do not look back. "One Day at a Time" lol
