First doctor's appt after 6 days clean....

Hey all.  Well I went to my doctor's appt today as scheduled.  He's my GP and we've always had a really good relationship until I started constantly running out of pills early.  Well I went in today and was waiting for him...he came in looked at me and said "Oh I'll be right back I forgot your prescription pad" so when he came back I saw he had the
"special narcotics script pad" and I just said to him.... "oh i don't need that anymore, I've been off them 6 days"
he looked seriously sooo happy.  I knew he wanted to get me off them for awhile but I didn't want to of course.
So when he first came in with the pad I had a moment of hmmm should I ?? but quickly decided no.
I'm so thankful I made the decision to come off them.  My back is bugging the heck out of me and my stomach is still a mess but my mind is clear and I'm not watching the friggen clock every second.  Now I don't even have to see him for over a month because he was only giving me 2 weeks at a time.

Did any of you have stomach issues that stayed around for quite awhile? how about the night sweats...when did those subside??

Now I still can't wait for my therapist appt monday :)

have a good day all!
Peace

thanks everyone :) just wish my therapist appt was for tomorrow instead of monday..the blues are back.  It's seriously like everything I didn't want to think about the last year while I went higher and higher on the pills is coming at me FULL force.  Tired of crying!

but I do feel good about my dr's appt so I keep trying to focus on that :)

Didn't it feel GREAT to tell your Doctor, no thnks, I quit taking those... I know for me it made me feel so empowered to tell the Dr. I was clean for about3 months before I had to make an office visit and when she asked if I needed anything else, to say No Thanks, I quit taking the Lorotab..WOW.. so worth it to be free of those. Congrats to you and good luck on your journey.

It's Dano192.  I'm here at work,  Thought I would check up on my favorite person on here!. You should go back and read my old posts. I had the exact same questions.  Had bathroom issues for about 10 to 12 days after.  Used Imodium, work great.  But be careful, it can block you up if you take it to long.  The night sweats we on and off for me.  I'm on day 32 now (oh yea......) and haven't had nite sweats for about a week or so. Hope you'r feeling better.  I'll continue to pray for you of course.  Have been since day one.  Talk to you later.
