F$%k!

I posted a topic yesterday relating to a friend of mine, which gave me a very bad idea.

I had stopped taking hydro last Wednesday and held tough until Sunday.  The malaise and sleep issues were killing me.  I held a few (very old) pills in reserve if things got too bad.  I took around 15mg which probably only had the strength of around 10-12 yesterday because work demands were tough and I had to focus.

Having done the half life calcs of how much was in my system yesterday I was below 1 mg.

Talk to me my friend... am I going to have to go through the same level of withdrawals again.  I really scared about this. Or will they be there just less considering how long I went and how much I got out of my system?

I really need an answer to this to calm my mind.  Some of you have given me some great support and I apologize for letting you down.

On top of everything else, I'm Mr. Mom starting tomorrow until Friday as my wife is travelling for work.

Help!

Please know that through the help of acupuncture, I have no cravings and didn't have really any of the severe w/d symptoms (vomiting, cramps, trots)  Its simply a matter of getting enough energy with associated focus that I'm having a big problem with.

As for my useage.  I'm considered dependent and not addicted as I used them within reason as related to the prescribed amount.  I simply noticed an increase, felt I didn't need them anymore and decided to call it quits.

I have said this before and mean it sincerely, what I am going through is minimal compared to some of you.  I'm sort of a big baby when it comes to feeling uncomfortable as is the case with most men anyway.  I wish I could wave a magic wand and make it go away for all of us.  You have my empathy.

I appreciate your help, input and advice.

it should not set you back physically, but mentally it can be bad.  once you give in those old demons reawaken.  those are just excuses to use.  if you give in each time there is a demand on you or your time you will be right back where you started.  i did not read in your post you were tapering.  get back on track and throw out those other pills you have.  as an addict if we have access to pills we will useually use them.  our mind cant rest for trying to figure out a GOOD reason to take them.  good luck.

I'm sure that one dose is not going to set you all the way back. But if you keep doing it, it will. When you are tappering down you shouldn't take enough to really feel it, just enough so that the withdrawls are bearable.
