Forgetting things

Hello all! Merry Christmas Eve! Today I am feeling really good, its day 5 and I am happy and for the most part my body feels ok (my back is hurting, the whole reason I started getting vics monthly rx) but I am having the biggest trouble remembering things! Its awful, I talked to my Mom yesterday on the phone about Christmas, and couldnt remember for the life of me what she had said 5 min later when my husband asked! Then when I woke up today I was thinking about coming on here asking this question and when I got to my laptop I sat here for 20 min trying to remember what I was going to ask LMAO This is part of w/d's, right? Or is my brain fried??!

So sorry to hear you had a terrible panic attack, those are terrible....try taking really deep breaths with 10 second counts...really helps..
As far as the memory thing, very normal...And almost all of my friends ( who are not addicts) also complain about their memory...SO that always made me feel better...I still have to write everything down, then sometimes get to walmart, or whereever, and forget my list...LOL
hang in there

thats completely normal...its part of paws  post acute withdrawal symtoms..it actually can continue from one year to two years in some cases but on random days usually on day 30,90,180,360 and 2 years....you brain is basically in a fog right now, but once your completely sober and one random day come and you cant think and you feel depressed and nothing is right just realize it will go away its only paws....

i would also look up paws post acute withdrawal to anyone quiting pain killers or alcohol so you know what to expect to avoid relapse..

hope that helps...its completely normal  :)
