HELP!

I have been on methodon for 12 years I hate my self for letting my life get to this point. My doctor started me on 20mg and over time increased it to 60 mg. I lost my script for this month made an appointment  and she refused. To replace it even knowing I am fifty eight years old and am in bad health to start with my last dose was three days ago. I am feeling awlful they did finally give me some tramadol and am suppose to take eight a day until Feb 15 when they can give me another method one script I just want off all of this for good I was also on norco for break threw pain 60 mg a day. At this point I would take the pain I was experiencing to begin with over this. I do not trust Dr. Any more  has anyone ever heard of cannabis oil for help.  I would welcome any advice at this point

Hi...well coming off 60 mg is going to be like getting hit by a bus.....we have had members come off 120 and make it...I dont think the tram is going to help anything....I came off 150 and it was the toughest detox of my life even tapering all the way down...just know there is life after methadone....this is 1/3 phyical and 2/3 mental so be ready to fight it our on both fronts....I have said this a million times but ''you just got to be ok without being ok for a wile''  this should be your mantra for the next 2 weeks.....methadone withdrawals last 10 days to 2 weeks for the physical part  the lack of sleep and the energy crash can go on for months...it took me a good 90 days to even feel like it was going to end so it takes perseverance and resolve...just know every day is a victory and your one day closer to getting better  keep posting for support where all here for you.......................Gnarly...............................

Hi honey....welcome.  That so sux for you.  Not only that but the tramadol scares the crapola out of me. Girl, you're not the first to have this happen to you.  There are scores here that can relate to your sitch. They will be by soon to lend support.  It's awesome that you've decided to get clean and clear. Life will be s less complicated. 12 years is a long time to be on a substance designed for short term recovery.

Private mssg me and we can talk  Cannabis oil. ....as it is considered a drug we cannot give dosing advice as this is a "get clean" support site.
What were you taking the pain management drugs for?  Have you considered non narcotic relief? It is possible.  Others gone through this will be better able to direct you.  It IS possible. Sometimes on these drugs, we get bounce back pain, which can actually be worse than the ACTUAL pain.  Getting off all drugs to assess your pain would be great...then decide your best course of action.  In the meantime there are things you can do to lessen your grief.

Epsom salt baths, amino acids, drink tons of water. Stay away from coffee and sugar if you can.  Keep all things you find comforting close to you...i.e. .......music, books, funny movies, heating pad, essential oils...exercise is wonderful for getting those good endorphins and brain chems sparking.  I don't know your physical restrictions if any.  Read other peeps success stories...and stay by the site and journal..ask questions...

I'm almost 57 years old and have been dealing with addiction since I was 15. Life is good not counting pills and obsessing about the next stash.

Support here chickie...you'll be fine.  You can get through this.
Bless
