Had the heart to heart

Well last night after my breakdown I had the addiction talk with my husband. I told him the truth of how bad it really is.  He was very supportive ( I did not expect that) He's going to help me tapper down, by taking control of my meds for me.  This morning he gave me 3 ( normally I would be taking 5) We are gonna do 3 every 4-5 hours instead of me taking & b4 noon. This is going to be very hard.....but at least I now know he's on my side...and willing to help me.  I feel like a little bit of weight has been lifted off my sholders. I hope you all are doing well today...gotta get ready for work...I'll check in later.

Good for you! I know you will have a better chance at recovery if your husband is behind you through this! I tried to get clean by myself so many times, but as soon as I had my husband's support- it made all the difference! Congrats!!

All my prayers and best of luck to you in your tapering.  I think you should def have him read some of this site.  I had my partner read the site and it really helped him understand what I was going through.  Its hard for people to understand or empathize if they haven't been through it.  So letting him see there are LOTS of us out there will make you and him feel better about it.
Good luck and be strong - You can do it!

Cyndie---  We all wish you well and I think you did the right thing to share with your husband.  Have him read this site and look at what others are going through ----  He needs to help you stay strong with you get weak ---- He need to comfort you when you crave or are going through the W/D's -- not give in to your addiction by giving you more than you have established as your taper.  You can do this girl --- we all know you can.   Please Cyndie, keep posting --  it helps ---  share with us.  All the best.
