Has Anyone Participated In An Intensive Outpatient Program

My insurance co (cigna) wants me to go to an intensive outpatient program.  I came out of an inpatient detox last Tuesday (4/28).  I know it is to my advantage to go, but I am sick with what seems like withdrawals.  My drug was Fentanyl pain patches (50 mcg/hr).  This stuff is really kicking my ***.  What I really want to know is what kind of experience you had with IOP and if some have finished a program like this what are the benefits and/or drawbacks?  I know I will never go back to any Narcotic because I have never felt so bad in my life the past two weeks.  Anything that makes you feel this much like **** is not to be toyed with....Thanks in advance for any guidance and/or words of wisdom you can throw my way.

I have been to one NA meeting since my Detox.  I plan to go to one tomorrow night.  I am not sure but something seems to be holding me back.

Hi!  I don't know much about IOP but I am curious why you would not go back to NA?  If you don't mind, I am curious because I feel the same way.  I have not heard good things about NA and am afraid to go back.  Appreciate your thoughts.  Ladydi4185
