Day 2-- definately think even the very fast taper has helped

I only tapered about 4 days-- and I am not having fun at all-- but so far not as bad as last time-- I am also embarrassed to mention a last time

Mostly right now besides the runs I have zero energy, a bit of depression and feel really weak-- I know the next two days it will probably pick up before it gets better.

I have been trying to drink more water-- and being as my kids are older I am able to sleep alot to pass the day (with the help of some sleep aids) but laying in bed all day makes you feel sore after about 24 hours

I am still VERY motivated-- Not looking forward to tommorrow as I know it is going to most likely get worse.

I am praying every morning and night and in the middle of the day laying it in Gods hands--  A christian and a lortab addict do not go hand in hand---

I am trying to feel better because we are in serious financial issues as my husband is in the Mortgage business and I need a job asap--  so much stress-- more than I have mentioned-- but I did find out one thing for sure-- doing pills to escape from stress only makes it worse-- not like I did not know that in my rational brain-- but my irrational love my lortabs brain thought they would help and just be temp.

Hugs for the day to all

BJ

I did a fast taper from lortabs...was feeling pretty much back to normall by day5...but went out with some frinds night 4 for a while...I also would have a glass of wine or a corona at night and it helped me alot...i do not abuse alcohol tho so not everyone can do this i guess....during the day, get some exercise even if it is just a brisk walk...it made me feel more at ease and helped me sleep better...also helps keep the achy legs away which i did not experience...u guy are doing great

I ALSO did the fast taper and am on day 3 now.  I am feeling MUCH better tonight.  Looks like a lot of us ladies and mommies are doing this without telling anyone.  Its not easy to hide wd.  I even had to pull off a job interview today!  I totally understand where you are coming from because I am looking for work to help with the finances, hiding my addiction, taking care of 2 small children.  You arent alone.  Thank you for posting because it lets me know I am not alone either!

Like you, I've been going through this w/o my husband knowing. The people on this forum have helped immensely...just knowing that you're not alone makes a big difference. While it may be tougher without spousal support...its still possible. GOOD LUCK!

I agree, I can handle my liquor, (yes, liquor), but rarely ever drink, but I got hooked on these nasty devil pills too.

Thank you for keeping me in your prayers!!!
I appreciate that very much.

I actually have had two glasses tonight-- but I dont want to over do that either-- because hangovers lead to anxiety-- and to me anxiety is one of the worst things about the opiate withdrawel.

BJ - I don't drink wine, but like my beer.  When I was detoxing, I couldn't even drink 2 beer without it putting me to sleep.  So if you have trouble sleeping, drink some wine?

I need all the prayers I can get-- Prayers up to you also

thanks for all the kind replies

it is funny because I do drink wine on a mostly regular basis-- but I can go a days or a week or more and dont have any issues-- but with these pills they control me--

Awe Cher BJ,

You're just at the worst part.  Soon, it'll be gone.  And you'll get your life back.

I loved my lortabs too.  They're now my enemy.

Just do small things in the beginning.  Make yourself.  Like just empty a trash can.  That's it.  You'll see how a little thing like that makes you feel good.

Love to U.
