Here again.. have some questions.

I joined here around 15 years ago. I was just a 19 year old kid. Since then I got clean then relapsed a few different times.  I am currently 4 days clean. my routine would be around 10-12 norco 10s for like 15 days a month and then around 10-12 tramadol 50 mg. I am not having terrible withdrawals but Iam having a real hard time sleeping. Do you think since I have switched between the two I will have a easier time getting back to normal?

5/1 marked 6 months clean of drugs and alcohol. I am currently feeling really good. For some reason when I started getting closer to 6 months I had a crazy urge to have a drink or take some pain pills. It last around 2 weeks but it went away and now im feeling great.

Thats pretty common.....do you remember what happened to maybe put you there? Maybe a trigger....or, maybe just our addict brain! Lol
Congratulations on the 6 month marker...)ou should be very proud b/c I know a lot of hard work went into that! Keep moving forwards....the cravings will lessen with time!
Nice job!
I am not really sure. I think I just knew six months was coming up and it kept had me thinking about it. Once I woke up on six months I felt like the weight was lifted it was really weird. I think it may be my sub conscience thinking about it.
Six months is awesome!!!  Congratulations
Congrats on 6 months clean!!

Still going strong. Day 22. Sleeping 8 hours a night. Sleep schedule it kind of messed up but itll get back to normal once im back to work. But I sleep from 9am-5am. I really cant complain. I am still alittle low energy but  not low enough to prevent me from doing things. So I cant complain. This needed to happen and I will not go back period. What always got me before was I wouldnt stop drinking. So if I drank I would go hard and wake up the next day feeling like **** and I would use to get through the day.  So I realize I cannot do that.  I have been smoking pot through this and it really has been a blessing.  It made everything bearable.
Still cruising along. feeling pretty decent-  last time i used was oct 31
Hey that's really great.  Seriously good job.  I think the energy levels and motivation etc gets better very slowly.  Don't get down because the progress seems slow.

This isn’t an answer to your question, but Good Luck and you can do it. ( we all ) mostly relapse in between sobriety. Usually to realize something or get something good out of it. Hope you update us and you got this !

Hey KY33,

Welcome back, that's an interesting question.  I imagine the overall withdrawals will be easier but the sleep issue might be as tough as ordinary wds since both of those make you sleepy.   Were you going 15 days on norco then 15 on tramadol with no days clean?  If so how long were you doing this?

roughly thats what it was. I would take the norcos until they are gone by the time that happens my Tramadol script would come in. But yes no days clean.  I have been doing this for awhile. well over a year.
also I wouldnt always make it a perfect 15/15 so like 5 days throughout the month I would take some suboxone.
Hey KY33,

If I had to guess I'd so what I said in my first response.  Overall withdrawals will be easier as you weren't staying on one thing more than two weeks.  I was never hooked on Tramadol but I've read on here that there are some issues with getting off of it that are different from opiates.  Maybe you'll avoid these as you weren't staying on it that long.  I think the toughest thing will be what is hardest for all addicts...staying clean after the wds.  Withdrawals suck but we're all able to get through them.   Are you hoping to stay off the pills?
