How should I modify Thomas Recipe

I just read that if you are on anti-depressants, you need to modify the Thomas Recipe.  I take wellbutrin, 150mg/day, and also Xanax, 1.5mg/day.  I also take a beta blocker for mitral valve prolaspe, so my blood pressure is always low, usually 98/68.

B complex
Calcium/magnesium at night
a good multi...EmergenC is a good one
Many also take glutamine as well

Thanks for your answer to my question.  It's must be all the vicodin that I've been taking all these months...(down to only 1 today...yeah!!!), but...it was way over my head.  
If I take 150mg of wellbutrin, 1.5 mg xanax, atenelol 25mg....what should I buy?

k...main thing i hear on hear about aminos is when u r on an ssri...welbutrin is not an ssri...the seratonin sydrome thingy..amino acids are found most foods we eat....people on lexapro feel safe to eat tons of turky on thanksgiving..full of tryptophan and tyrosine..all meat a daity products have alot of aminos as they are the building blocks of protein...beans and such are heavy in aminos as well...most of what we can not absorb we excrete....so the danger is minimal..but i guess it is there..just dont OD on meat and dairy or u may have a problem too....just be normal i think..aminos will not kill u..we eat them every day..a meat eater gets much more than a vegetarian....body builders horde aminos and use them out the ying yang...big molecule and i would be more worried about kidney function if i overdid it verses seratonin overload..but still is a caution...

5htp directly affects seratonin/depression/mood...ssris directly affect seratonin..trams directly affect seratonin

tyrosine and phenylalanine affect dopamine/energy level and therefore for many helps depression ..wellbutrin largely affects dopamine but u gotta remeber that addicts when we quit are extremely dopamine deficient

5-HTP needs only one more step to
become serotonin-- a decarboxylation. The sequence is:

Tryptophan --> 5-HTP --> Serotonin.

An exactly analogous sequence is:

Tyrosine --> L-DOPA --> Dopamine

These molecules have a tough time crossing the blood brain barrier in the first place..everything has to be just so,...for instance someone taking mega B6 will be lucky to get any seratonin as being a natural diuretic u will pee it out!  far fetched that u will have a problem but if someone is on high doses of prozac and lexapro etc..u shouldnt need 5htp anyway if it is working..many people turn to these to avoid RX ADs..but during wds our brains are so depleted it would be hard to overload it..still use caution

btw...wellbutrin is an excellent AD for detox from opiates/let me know if it helps

SAMe helps with depression and energy/methionone(2000 mg) is cheaper and is the precurser to SAMe/..200 mg per dose as tolerate thru the day..too much can cause anxiety...refrigerate it as it is easily broken down to a molecule than is not useable

tyrosine and phenylalnine help with energy but indirectly help with depression as u r motivated to get off the couch..2000-3000 mg a day

5thp...by product of tryptophan..helps with sleep and depression..not for energy/only depression and i use it at night for sleep...100 mg up to 3 x a day

i think if you are on anti-dep, you are suppose to cut the mood enhancement amoinos.  i will message worried since she is a nurse  she may know more about it.  sorry i could not help more.
