Hydrocodone Withdrawl

I have been taking up to ten 10/500 Hydros per day for a couple years.  I would run out every month, of course, but last month I really tried to make them last, breaking them in half and slowly cutting back.  I see a pain management doctor for nerve damage/ back pain.  Today is Friday, April 8th.  I took my last Hydro on Tuesday.  The squirts have stopped, still have problems sleeping, and my energy is slowing coming back.  Watery eyes have stopped.  I read somewhere something about some vitamins that would help.  Any ideas?  It sounds like I'm getting off easy with the withdraws from reading other posts.  Am I right in thinking that or am I in for a big wake up call in a day or two?  Any help would be much appreciated.  I know I'm addicted and I want to stop.  Is the worst over?  Thank god for each of you on here!  It has been a big help just reading!!

I'm with you.I went cold turkey last Sunday and found that the first couple of days were the worst. Every day got better though. And it wasn't as bad as I'd read. Today (Day 6) I feel great with no withdrawal symptoms.

I really think you made it through the hardest part. Every day will get better. I think by early next week you will feel back to normal (for the most part).

Keep strong.

Hi and welcome to the forum.  You should be thru the worst of this i would think.  Usually day 3-4 are the worst for the physical wd's.  The mental part of addiction is the tough part.  Have you thought about any type of recovery care?  That is very important.  Get up and move around as much as you can.  The sleep and energy are usually the last to come back but it does.  Stay positive as you can do this!!    sara
