Take the clonidine. It is there for a use. It is non addictive. Your vision and hearing may be part of the anxiety caused by blood pressure variations. It will help, I promise.
And I feel so different because I never really had to deped on hydros like everyone else on here I just took them for my pain and to get high.
Is it normal for my hearing etc to be all weird and my vision?
It's hard going through this with no medicine.
So hard. But I'm to scared to take the clonidine
Be patient...most say 3-5 days for acute withdrawal symptoms. Does not mean everything will be perfect. You will still have energy problems, sleep problems, etc. for awhile. Your brain is struggling to reset itself and it takes time. It is remembering how to make the dopamine that it stopped making because the pills were doing all the work. It takes several months for the brain to repopulate the brain. You will see a gradual improvement every day, but not immediate. Check out the most viewed health pages to the right of this post. Foods that increase dopamine is a good one to read. There are others that might be helpful as well. Just keep moving when you can and rest when you need to.
I've spent almost all day working on cars and I stil feel te same. Is it because it's only day 5?
When should I start to notice myself getting better?
You have probably been overdoing it. Try and force yourself to go for a short walk then come back and relax on the couch. It's okay to rest since you haven't had much sleep but remember the more we exercise the sooner our energy comes back.
you asked if any of that was purchasable on EBT, i would assume you could get tea, walmart food lion wherever will have chamomile tea, lavender tea, sleepy time tea, but im not positive you can get it on EBT, call and ask some place
Alright today has definitely been my most lazy day. I don't even feel like showering today bro just wanna stay on te couch. Is this normal to start happening on day 5?
i would imagine you could get the tea on EBT, they have chamomile and valerian tea, sleepy time tea, im sure youll find something
thats the worst thing about detox is sleep and the last thing to go back to normal, if it is real bad maybe a dr. could prescribe you a sleep aid, but you should get a little more each night, my back hurts and keeps me up all night, but i dont have any medical back problems ugh
Keep in mind I'm a 21yo out on my own with no help from parents.
I don't have acces to that since I have no job or income at the moment :(
Is any of that purchasable on ebt?
Haha
melatonin, valerian root, tylenol PM, sleepy time tea something like that
I agree you guys are my HAPPY PLACE right now... Thank you, all of you, for everything!
What would you recommend for me to help sleep? I feel if I could just get two good nights of sleep in a row I will be better
no no no, nyquil will make you sweat and have bad RLS or at least it did me
I will never leave this site after I get feeling better i will continue to help ppl on here! And I agree pat you have helped me in many ways the past few hours. I've had 6 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours.
I think I may take some NyQuil tonight to help me sleep. Is that a good idea?
It helps me alot to hear about other ppls problems and to help them with how I am feeling because I don't want any other person to feel this way! I would never wish this even on a person I hated the most.
Thanks sweety
I just know how scared I was when I found this forum and all the wonderful people that helped me through my many withdrawals. It's nice to be able to pay it forward.
I really do feel badly for everyone that has to go through this and I really care. We all do and we never forget where we came from and where we could be.
awww, thank you. we are here to help. sadly enough there are many people in this situation, however they got here.
there is hope for recovery...
yes talking about it and getting reassurance is very helpful.
deep breathes, relaxing, getting your questions answered, understanding what is happening with your body, mind, soul and spirit does help.
we are glad you found us.
i see you posting on other peoples threads, good for you. it will help you too.
Debbie
I agree Marlatt- just what you said! The ppl on here are amazing and just good good people!
You are doing a great job!
And Pat especially-thanks for always bring there. You seem like such a maternal and caring person!
You should really start to feel better soon if you are on Day 5 without any pills. Try going for a walk and get some fresh air. It will feel wonderful.
I bet it makes you feel a lot better. Make sure you eat something too.
It will help you sleep.
