I am finally done with my Suboxone taper

Just checking in I have made it through the taper as of Friday October 28th I am clean.  I went through i very slow taper with its ups and downs but as of right now I am feeling pretty good.  only time will tell, One Day At A Time!

Alright, good job. I think you will be just fine physically but you might have some mental ups & downs, but this is normal when we give up any of these types of pills. The mental does not hurt, or is uncomfortable like the physical. It is just that these types of pills, any kind of opiates or semi opiates, change the makeup of our brain chemistry, therefore it takes some time for all of this to balance back. Heck, YOU might not get it either because of your slow taper. Just keep your Guard Up at all times, because life is not always going to go the way we want, and this can bring on some triggers to want to get something to ease the pain, either physically or mentally. Just be safe and keep a good support system around you at all times. In time you will feel so much better, even better then you do now. Good Going!!

Thanks for your input, I am ready for the mental part for I am use to the depression I don't think it ever went away even while using! But through counseling and meetings my mind is in a much better place already!  Again the biggest thing I go by is One Day at a Time!

Good for you Suboxone is a hard drug to come off of sounds like you did a good taper feels good to be clean don't it makes you want to scream I'm clean keep us posted on how you feel congrats

I am one week in and it seems to be the same as each of my steps down in the taper, manageable! I just keep in my head when and why this all started and don't want to ever be in that position again! Yes it feels good to say I am clean!
