I am so scared....
Hey guys. Tomorrow I am taking my baby to the hospital for tests on her heart. She had 7 hour open heart surgery last year, and now she is having problems, so we are very worried. Her cardiologist said to bring her tomorrow afternoon, and it's out of town, so we are leaving late in the morning tomorrow. I am paralyzed with fear, but I don't want a pill. I just want my little one to be ok! She has been turning blue and running high fever on and off. Her temp today has been over 102!
If you pray, please do for me, my husband and MOST of all.....our little Maddie! If you don't pray, please keep us in your thoughts tomorrow! I would really like to handle this withOUT a relapse!

Tram - what great news! Im a little slow to catch up but I had been reading your story yesterday and had your little one in my prayers all night. So very happy to hear she is ok. Many blessings to you and your family.. Oh and good job on not self-medicating!

I'm so Happy for you all.. my daughter also had open heart surgery when she was a babe.. she is 35 now and doing wonderfully.. they monitor it but it has not got in the way at all of regular growing up activities.. Hey!!! We didn't get home until LATE last night, and I was so tired (more like physical and mental exhaustion) that I didn't do anything but go to bed! We got such wonderful news yesterday, but we didn't get all the answers. They are sending her for a battery of tests to see if she has allergies. But THAT I can live with. As long as her heart is ok, we can handle allergies pretty easily....at least compared to another open heart surgery! The doctor said that she still may need another one (not uncommon with her condition) at some point, but she is ok for now and in no immediate danger! Whoohoo! I never had a thought of a pill......ALL DAY! I guess I was worried about that for nothing. Hubby was with me the whole day, and we got through it. (even waiting for 3 hours!!!!)
Thank you all so much for praying for my little one eventhough you guys don't even know her or us!!! That meant so much to me. It really did. And keeping you guys posted kept me distracted! Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart!!!

Guys, I had a complete breakdown in the car outside the hospital! We are in a restaurant now, and I look like a racoon! Make up everywhere! Happy tears though! Thanks again!

OMG I can't stop crying from relief. Her heart is fine. We don't even have to see them again for a year. We were having to go more often. I appreciate you all so much! I will tell you what they said when I get back to my laptop! Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers! We are going HOME! : )
