I need help!

I went to the doctor to get off opiates and I was prescribed subaxone but he said not to start taking it until 24 hours since my last use of opiates. I have 4 more hours to go but im having severe withdrawls. Do you think it would be fine if I stsrted the subaxone now (alittle earlier)?

My dr told me to start taking when you start 'jonesing' for something. start small.

unless of course you are on methadone then its not long enough .... that was why I was asking what you were taking .I am assuming its not but its always good to ask before assuming .

Yes, you will be fine...

I have used suboxone both for withdrawls and also for pain management.

Most DR'sd only make you wait 24Hrs.

What dose did he start you at...

I want to tell you that suboxone is not meant to be used long term.
Your best bet is to go with a 1 to 3 month detox program..Some
dr's do it in 21 days...The longer you stay on it the harder the w/ds..

good luck and hang in there, if suboxone is used correctly it is
a great tool for detox, get some after care(meetings NA/AA), drug counslor)
