Hubby said NO to Lortab . . .

I just got home from the ER.  I have been sick as many of you know for a few weeks now.  This morning I was so sick and shivering so badly that when my temperature hit 102.2 huibby took me to ER.  I was incoherent (my normal temp is 97.3) and felt like I might pass out and my teeth were chattering and my head felt like it might explode and then when I'd cough - it made it worse! Anyway, hubby told doctor I was in a lot of pain and she asked if she should give me a Lortab - he said NO!.  He didn't give her a reason, but she came in to see me and I told her I only wanted Tylenol.  I was so worried being only 100 days out that a Lortab could mess me up!  Anyway, they took an x-ray and I have pnemonia in the left lower lobe of that lung.  She said she thinks they caught it fairly fast.  So, she gave me two rounds of IV antibiotics and sent me home wiith a script.  My fever is now 100.8, but that's much better than it was!  Anyway, I'm so glad I didn't take the Lortab - it was so tempting with how bad I hurt.  

Well, I need to go lay down - hubby is frustrated that I'm on here typing and not laying down!  But, I just wanted to share with you guys how excited I am that I turned down the Lortab!

Thanks everyone.  I'm starting to feel better, but still have a fever and still not feeling 100%.  Hopefully, I'll be better soon!!!

You should feel very proud of yourself Utah :) I'm so sorry it has turned into pneumonia.. At least you have antibiotics on board now and your fever is down a bit.. Listen to your Dear Hubby and get some rest try to drink OJ and I hope you are feeling better very soon.. warmly lesa

Way to go girl,so very proud of you now get some rest and try to drink plenty of fluids it will help to loosen the congestion in your lungs

wow! i sure hope you feel better now! it seems like everyone is so sick this year, everywhere. its been a bad flu/cold season already and its only mid Dec! take care and congrats on turning down the hydro!
