Hi done... Welcome to the forum and WTG on day 4.... It does get easier... And everyone here understands and they are all wonderful w great advice! What you think is a cold could be wd I googled the wd to see what I should expect I'm still sneezing a bit and watery eyes but that's part of it!! Keep posting it really does help!
Hi, just discovered this site, and this is my first post. I too am on day 4 from a long history of norco abuse. I'm soooo done. Not feeling too great. I don't know if I caught a head cold on top of the withdrawls or if my symptoms are part of it. Sounds like you are doing great. It helps to know I'm not alone with this problem. Thanks for being an inspiration.
Thank you.... I feel the difference this time.... I guess if I didn't fail so many times I wouldn't be human lol just proves how strong we r and strong willed, takes a few fails to succeed..... I see that now!!
Great to hear jibi. don't ever go back. You are doing great !!! ;) awesome.
I love to read these posts
I only had anxiety first day that's at a low thank god lol hubby commented on my happier face and tone today... It's quite nice!! So excited for day 5.... Bring it on!!!
I have a desk job too, but the waves of panic and anxiety kept me from working for a couple of days.
Glad to hear your upbeat tone! It is hard to really deal with the withdrawals, and I'm happy for you. A PMA (positive mental attitude) is not necessary but it helps! I whined A LOT at day 4! Lol. Saturday is 7 weeks sober for me...I was so miserable during withdrawals...I hope I never forget! Keep going...you are already a success!
Good for you, that' the spirit. Treat yourself as gently as you can! I know it's hard but you can do this. Again, great work!
I took day 2 off but forced myself to work day 3 and 4 it's been good ! I'm feeling a bit more happier and positive I'm gonna make it through this time!!!
Detoxing is impressive enough, all on it's own but doing it while working..well, my hat is off to you, is all I can say! Massive Congrats to you on your BIG 4 days. Great work! I'm glad you're getting a little sleep. That's a very encouraging sign. It's also cool that you've got such a great attitude (that's half the battle.) You're going to stick this one Jibi! Hang Tough. We're here.
You're at work on day 4 ! Well done ! Keep strong and keep posting . Congratulations on getting your life back . Jimmy
Thx open good advice I will do that!!!
Only way I can keep occupied and it's a desk job lol
Save this thread to read if and when you ever get the fleeting urge to use again. I go back to my first two posts every now and then and remember what I went through.
It's amazing that you can work. I couldn't...You're doing great.
Hi kyle,
oh I have been eating, LOL hubby says he has not seen me eat like that in ages... since day 1 i have been eating like a COW.. LMAO... so thats not an issue, i may not be eating great things, but i am eating, drinking water, and electrolytes juices. Bathroom is not too much of an issue, been a little rough, but nothing i need to take anything for.... walking, i have been doing a little of that, me and my Mr are going to walk to the park across the street from our house tonight with the dogs, just even for 10 minutes if that's all i can do .... my legs feel sooooo very heavy, so walking is hard , but, on my lunch break at work today i walked over to the store... felt good, i found as i was walking back i was walking a little quicker and a little better............ up and up right!! Thank you for your encouragement.....
We are all different, but I think that you're at the turning point. If you aren't eating yet, try to eat. Don't worry about healthy food or whatever, just eat. My detox was hell, but at the end of day 4 things started changing. I was able to eat, and noticed an immediate difference. And like the post above suggested, if you've been spending a lot of time in the bathroom, a drink with electrolytes is a good idea. Get your body fueled. Try to take a short walk. You will have some bad moments, but, at least for me, after day 4 those moments became fewer and fewer. Don't push yourself, but eat, walk, and start enjoying your recovery.

I think being at work is helping keeping me occupied but still moving in zombie mode lol horrible feeling .... But I got this! Last time I'm putting myself through this ugh
Congratulations on 4 days! I know that you worked for them. Keep up the positive attitude and keep pushing forward. You will be through the physical wds in no time.
That heavy feeling is wierd huh? I took too much Dramamine for motion sickness one time, it felt like that. I could feel the blood sloshing around throwing me off balance. It went away, it gets better and better. Sometimes that's a matter of believing it, it doesn't always feel that way. You are healing every minute you don't take drugs. 4 days and marching, keep your eyes on the prize.
Great job on 4 days!! It should just keep getting better. I'm on day 4 as well and really think that vitamins and moving around has helped alot. Also, I was told my a member here about Vitamin water Revive- has 100% of some b vitamins plus electrolytes & potassium which our bodies are probably starving for. I noticed a difference immediately when I drank it. I got it on day 2 I believe.
Thanks guys .... I know with each passing day things will get better and I will feel better! Hubby said I have more color in my face since off the drugs, said I was always pale.... I never noticed! It's amazing the differences that ppl notice! Over the last 6 months I dropped 70 lbs that was from always puking from the percs, amazing what that crap does.... It's just not worth it! Thanks again for your continuing support!! Hugs to all!
way to go Jibi....you got this girl! keep on moving forward....one min, one day at a time. :)
well done to yourself, you should be so proud. just love to hear about people jumping lifes hurdles. all the luck in the world with your journey.
