Is my boyfriend smoking crack or just weed?

I found something that looked like a metal crack pipe. There was weed next to it but as soon as I saw it I could tell he was afraid that I saw it. He told me in the past that he only smokes weed. I haven’t confronted him about my suspicions about the crack yet. Since honestly I didn’t even know it was a crack pipe to begin with. It’s not your classic run of the mill glass crack pipe... its a metal 2 inch blue pipe. Does anyone here know if people use those things to smoke weed?  What should I do? If he truly is an addict he’ll lie and say he doesn’t smoke crack... I’m afraid because to be honest I feel like I can’t trust him.

Usually crack is smoked in a glass pipe.  I would guess it is weed he is smoking in that.  It should have a distinct smell if it is weed.
