Almost 3 weeks clean off Vicodin!

Getting close now just wanted to make my second post, and let y'all know I'm still going. Been smoking more cigs then I can remember but I figured what the H this first month. Staying active but I feel like the Whinney guy who just doesn't want to do anything or go anywhere. Ha I fight everyone with execuses at first only to change my mind (knowing I need to). I've decided to enroll back in school, even though in NA we say "don't make big changes in life early on in recovery", I always think I wanted to go back I was already halfway done. So I did that start for march 13th for a 2nd 8 week so I can knock out a few more and be a damn junior. I'm 24 figured it's now or never so after dropping out for to much partying I'm going back after 3 years. Feels good I guess, being clean well knowing I'm clean and that I'm doing something progressive so. Won't have money for fun now ha, defiantly got a mental fog but it's usually around certain times of the day. For me mornings are the worst I crave anything nights hard to sleep but been throwing back like 30 mg serotonin and it kinda helps but anyways take care.

Good job on 3 weeks!!  Get more comfortable in your recovery before you tackle the smoking.

Congrats on 3 weeks - I'm right there with you.  My last pain pill was 3 weeks ago today on Jan 8th.   I'm glad your going out and doing things, enrolling in school, etc.  Staying busy is important, as boredom can be dangerous.   Do whatever it takes to keep your guard up.  Smoking ain't great for ya, but just tackle one demon at a time.

Smoking cigs actually affects our serotonin levels. (like some antidepressants).  I wouldn't try stopping narcotic pain meds AND nicotine at the same time, but that's just me.
Big WAHOO for almost 3 weeks clean!!

One more thing, by maintaining my cigarette habit/addiction does anyone think this wouldn't keep the addict mind alive or would I be a ticking time bomb by keeping this tobacco habit? I don't want to give up tobacco I didn't want to with weed but I did just to get that need of high feeling away. So let me know thanks
